Summer Celebration
Summer Celebration is one of the largest cultural events in the country. Spanning nearly two weeks, the event brings together tens of thousands of attendees for a powerful lineup that includes the Business Conference, Education Conference, Health Fair, Youth Leadership Summit, Youth Entrepreneur Series, Music Heritage Festival Outdoor Concert, Film Festival, Cultural Arts Pavilion, and more. Rooted in IBE’s mission of social and economic advancement, Summer Celebration is more than an event — it’s an annual gathering that uplifts, educates, celebrates, and connects communities across Indiana and beyond.
Circle City Classic®
Circle City Classic® is held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, anchored by HBCU band competitions and football games and surrounded by a week of events celebrating education, culture, and community.
Policy & Advocacy
IBE celebrates unity and social impact across all races, ethnicities, nationalities, generations, socioeconomic levels and religious affiliations. We continue to strive for excellence by providing unique events and programs that reflect the changing landscape of Indiana and the world. Our commitment to excellence through personal enhancement and community development exemplify our dedication to improving the quality of life for all. With a statewide infrastructure now including 12 chapter affiliates, IBE continues to be a major economic and social contributor to our youth and the Indiana community.
Taking Your Seat Leadership Institute
Taking Your Seat Leadership Institute (TYSLI) is an 8-session program designed to equip Indiana residents with the knowledge, skills, and connections needed to engage meaningfully in the political process. Whether participants aspire to run for office, serve on boards, work on campaigns, or simply become more informed citizens, TYSLI provides hands-on learning through interactive sessions and direct engagement with elected officials and community leaders. The program covers everything from public policy and election law to campaign strategy, fundraising, and community advocacy.
Annual Statewide Conference
The IBE Annual Statewide Conference is a two-day gathering that brings together chapter members, community leaders, and professionals from across Indiana for workshops, panel discussions, and networking opportunities rooted in IBE’s mission. Attendees leave equipped with practical tools, fresh ideas, and renewed inspiration to strengthen their chapters and better serve the communities across Indiana that IBE is committed to uplifting.
AmplifyU
AmplifyU Institute is a 12-week leadership development program designed to empower youth ages 14–19 across Marion County through interactive, culture-centered learning. Forty selected students participate in weekly 75-minute workshops led by prominent community leaders, covering topics like public speaking, civic systems, social justice, Black leadership history, and community advocacy. The program culminates in a capstone presentation at the Youth Leadership Summit, giving students the opportunity to demonstrate their growth and put their leadership skills into action.
