IBE Scholarship Fund
$4.6 Million Awarded To Date
Your donation helps Indiana Black Expo provide scholarships for deserving Indiana students enrolled in 2 year or 4 year accredited institutions of higher education. Since 1984, Indiana Black Expo has awarded more than $4.6 million in scholarships, and on average between 40-50 Indiana students benefit from the financial support. Your donation to the IBE Scholarship Fund allows us to provide support to more scholars as they strive to reach their dreams.
Our Annual Education Conference
Every year, our annual Education Conference assembles some of the best minds in the nation to offer teachers, administrators, policymakers, and those concerned with education resources, best practices, and professional development in the area of cultural competency and equity. Lectures, workshops, breakout sessions, and hands-on demonstrations help place educators in a position to enhance skills and knowledge. This has become one of the biggest education conferences in the country. Your support will help ensure that teachers from Indiana who may need assistance to travel, can attend the conference held each summer as a part of the Summer Celebration.
Our Performing Arts Academy
Enhancing Educational Experiences
The Performing Arts Academy (PAA) provides dance, music production, videography/photography, and acting programs to middle and high school youth in Central Indiana. The program components include weekly classes, academic support, and an infusion of Black History. In order to succeed academically, our youth need to be “empowered” and a huge empowerment gap exists with underrepresented youth. PAA utilizes the performing arts to connect passion and purpose, all with the goal of improving academics and helping youth realize their greater possibilities.
